March sees the start of the ski touring season when the mountain refuges are open in places that you cannot reach earlier in the winter.  The longer daylight hours and warmer weather offer more freedom to explore the vast expanses of off piste skiing.

This holiday is suited to competent skiers with a reasonable level of fitness as you must be able to carry kit whilst hiking.
